Our commitment to book publishing laid the foundations for the publishing group’s subsequent activities.

What first began as subscription sales - or bookclubs -, has developed into a group of individually managed publishing companies representing more than 50 Nobel prizewinners and a large number of worldwide bestsellers in English and German-speaking countries. One of our key goals here is to promote and bring to the public attention new writers and unknown talent. The subholding companies Macmillan US and Macmillan lead the field of publishing companies in the English-speaking world.
